Disney has not announced another increase for 2026, so nothing is official yet. Still, the new renewal incentive is arriving just as Passholders have good reason to start watching Disney’s prices very closely.Disney Introduces a New Reward for RenewingDisney is introducing a special edition Mickey Mouse magnet specifically for Annual Passholders who renew.The new magnet features Mickey dressed in turn-of-the-century clothing inspired by Main Street, U.S.A. Passholders visit a designated location during a limited window and pick up the latest design while supplies last.The recent Kermit the Frog Passholder magnet, for example, was distributed at Mickey Shorts Theater inside Disney’s Hollywood Studios through September 24.This time, Passholders don’t need to make a special park visit.More importantly, simply having an Annual Pass isn’t enough.The Mickey magnet is tied directly to renewal.That distinction makes the timing much more noteworthy, particularly because Disney is approaching the same month in which Annual Pass prices have repeatedly increased.Another October Price Increase Could Be ComingDisney has not announced a Walt Disney World Annual Pass price increase for October 2026.That needs to be clear.But Disney’s recent history gives Passholders a reason to wonder whether another change is approaching.Walt Disney World raised Annual Pass prices in October 2023. It did it again in October 2024. Then, on October 8, 2025, Disney increased prices for a third consecutive October.Those increases haven’t been insignificant, either.In 2025, prices increased between $20 and $80 depending on the Annual Pass tier. The year before, Disney raised prices between $30 and $100.Now we’re entering October 2026.There is no guarantee Disney will repeat the pattern for a fourth year. The company could leave Annual Pass prices alone, increase them later, or make other changes to the program.But after three straight October increases, Passholders certainly have reason to pay attention.And Disney has now introduced a brand-new perk specifically rewarding people who make the decision to renew.Here’s What Annual Passes Cost Before Any Potential IncreaseAnnual Pass prices are already substantially higher than they were several years ago.Following the October 2025 increases, the Disney Pixie Dust Pass currently costs $489, while the Disney Pirate Pass costs $869.The Disney Sorcerer Pass sits at $1,099, and the Disney Incredi-Pass costs $1,629.That last number is especially important for Disney fans outside Florida.The Incredi-Pass is the option available without the residency and eligibility restrictions attached to some lower-priced tiers. That means someone who lives outside Florida and wants an Annual Pass may already be looking at an investment of more than $1,600 before accounting for travel, hotels, food, merchandise, or other vacation expenses.For a household buying several passes, another increase can become expensive quickly.Even a $50 increase across four Annual Passes adds another $200 to the family’s cost. A larger adjustment would push that number higher.Disney hasn’t revealed what a hypothetical 2026 increase would look like, and there is no reliable way to know whether each pass would increase by $20, $50, $100, or anything at all.What we do know is that Disney has shown a willingness to raise these prices every October since 2023.The New Magnet Comes at an Interesting TimeThat’s what makes Disney’s new Mickey magnet more than just another Passholder collectible.Disney isn’t giving this particular magnet to every current Passholder simply for having an active pass.It’s rewarding the act of renewing.The difference matters.Passholders with September 2026 anniversaries or later who renew are eligible for the mailed magnet. Disney is effectively placing a small exclusive reward on the other side of a much larger financial transaction.That doesn’t mean Disney created the magnet because a price increase is coming. It also gives Disney another way to celebrate loyalty at a point when guests are deciding whether another year of Annual Passholder status remains worth the cost.Disney Is Changing How This Passholder Perk WorksThere is another notable part of the new promotion: Disney is mailing the magnets.That might sound like a minor logistical change, but it changes what the giveaway accomplishes.Traditional Passholder magnet releases encourage people to visit Walt Disney World. Passholders need a valid U.S. mailing address connected to their MyDisney account, and Disney limits the promotion to two magnets per household when passes share the same anniversary date. The offer is also subject to availability, change, and cancellation.In other words, this isn’t primarily an incentive to get someone through a theme park gate.It is an incentive connected to keeping their Annual Pass.A Small Gift Attached to a Much Bigger PurchaseNo one is likely to renew a $1,629 Annual Pass solely because Disney promises to mail them a Mickey Mouse magnet.Disney probably doesn’t expect that.The value comes from making renewal feel like something Passholders are being rewarded for rather than simply another large charge.Annual Passholders have long formed their own collecting culture around Disney’s magnets. Some collect every design. Others display them on refrigerators, cars, or magnetic boards.
