Hint: I completed 19 years of school Rather than pick one specific side hustle, I figured I’d offer the thing I’m actually best at: Give me the thing you don’t have the time, energy, patience, or desire to deal with. I’m educated, responsible, organized, discreet, nonjudgmental, good with people, and very good at figuring things out. Some examples of things you could hire me for: • Organizing closets, paperwork, kitchens, craft supplies, storage, etc. • Sorting, packing/unpacking, or helping you tackle a room that has gotten completely out of control • Running errands, returns, shopping, etc. • Gift shopping and wrapping • Research — products, services, travel, contractors, options for solving some random problem, etc. • Paperwork organization, scanning, filing, spreadsheets, lists • Digital organization • Laundry folding/closet organization • Party or holiday prep • Helping an older adult with errands, technology, paperwork, shopping, or just getting things done • Accompanying you somewhere you don’t want to go alone • Body doubling/accountability — I’ll sit there while you finally tackle the thing you’ve been avoiding • General personal-assistant/life-admin stuff • Random projects that don’t fit neatly into any category And it doesn’t necessarily have to involve doing a task. Need someone to listen while you get something off your chest? Sure. Want someone to have coffee with you and talk because you’re lonely, bored, new to town, going through something, or just want some company? I’m happy to. Need a neutral person to talk something through with? Want practical, common-sense, “what would a mom tell me?” advice? I can do that too. I’m not a therapist, and I’m not offering professional counseling. Sometimes people just need another human being to listen. I’m also completely open to things I haven’t thought of.
