An article in Wednesday's edition of Sport Bild suggests that the German star may not have been fully prepared for the power dynamics within a dressing room packed with big personalities at a club like Liverpool, including Virgil van Dijk, Alexis Mac Allister, Dominik Szoboszlai and Ryan Gravenberch. The article points out that the players who were key performers during the 2024/25 season and helped Liverpool win the title didn't necessarily see the need for a new playmaker to arrive. It also claims that Wirtz is “struggling with not being found by his teammates on the pitch”. “Wirtz is not being frozen out by his teammates. But nobody is going out of their way to make him shine in combination play either,” the report states. submitted by /u/DirectorTurbulent422 [link] [comments]
