A 71-year-old cyclist from Kirkop has suffered grievous injuries following a traffic accident in Luqa this morning.Police were informed of the incident at around 9:15am in Triq Ħal Qormi.Preliminary investigations found that the collision involved the cyclist and a Mercedes driven by a 24-year-old man from Naxxar.A medical team assisted the cyclist at the scene before he was taken to Mater Dei Hospital by ambulance, where he was certified as having sustained grievous injuries.Police investigations into the incident are ongoing.•
