Adulting is so foreign to some people anymore. If you cant afford to take your vacation AND cover your mortgage & pet care, guess what? You can't afford to go on vacation. That simple. Edit: can't afford to go on THAT vacation, I should say. Everyone deserves downtime, but maybe she needs to look into cheaper alternatives...like a staycation.
