It reads: “An investment consortium led, managed, and represented by Amit Bhatia has expressed interest in making a strategic minority investment in Liverpool Football Club.”The club is expected to be valued at more than $6billion if a transaction is completed between the parties.It is reported that Bhatia has hired advisers to work on an offer amid the negotiations with current owners FSG. However, he has yet to comment on the ongoing talks.Freeing up for new investment As mentioned, Bhatia departed QPR on Tuesday by transferring his ownership to majority owner Ruben Gnanalingam. He has done this to avoid holding a stake in two clubs, which owners are not allowed to do in English football.Speaking after his exit, Bhatia said: “Since joining the club in 2007, QPR has been a deeply important part of my life, and of my family’s life.
