Breakfast might be the hardest meal to get right at Walt Disney World. That sounds dramatic until you have actually tried to plan one. The in-park options are often smaller than you want, sweeter than you need, or sitting in a completely different park from the one you are standing in. You end up eating a pastry at 8 a.m., riding two attractions, and feeling starving by 10:30. Anyone who has done a rope drop morning on a cinnamon roll knows exactly what that feels like.Which is why so many guests have quietly figured out that the better breakfasts on property are usually at the resort hotels. They tend to be calmer, more filling, and more likely to satisfy a table full of people who all want different things. You lose some park time getting there, but you gain a meal that actually holds you until dinner. For a while, one of the very best of those resort breakfasts came with a deal attached that felt almost too good to still exist. Ale & Compass at Disney’s Yacht Club Resort had built a reputation among Disney dining fans as one of the smartest breakfast values on the entire property. Not the flashiest. Not the one with characters. Just the one that made the most sense on paper and on the plate. That deal is now gone, and the change has been confirmed on the current menu.Credit: DisneyWhat Ale & Compass Offers for BreakfastFirst, a quick refresher for anyone who has not been.Ale & Compass Restaurant is located at Disney’s Yacht Club Resort in the EPCOT Resort Area. Disney describes it as a coastal-inspired restaurant reminiscent of a cozy lighthouse, serving New England comfort food and classic seafood dishes. Breakfast runs from 7:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. daily, with lunch from 11:45 a.m. to 2 p.m. and dinner from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m.The breakfast menu is genuinely strong. Crab Cake Eggs Benedict, Dark Chocolate Waffles, Steak and Egg, and a plant-based Protein Hash Bowl all sit alongside more familiar picks like the American Breakfast and Stuffed French Toast. It is the kind of menu where the table can order in five different directions, and everyone still ends up happy.Credit: Kurt / ITMAdvance reservations are highly recommended here, and same-day availability is limited. The restaurant also has cancellation and modification policies, with a per-person fee charged if you no-show or cancel outside the window. The Deal That Made It FamousHere is what changed. For a while, Ale & Compass breakfast offered something called the Continental Enhancement. For $28 for adults, you get your choice of entree, a drink, and access to a full breakfast buffet with additional offerings on top of it.Look at the entree prices and the math jumps out immediately. Most breakfast entrees at Ale & Compass land somewhere between $16 and $26. The American Breakfast is $17. The New England-style Omelet is $16. Crab Cake Eggs Benedict is $19. Hot Honey Chicken and Waffles is $22.So for $28, you were getting an entree that already cost most of that, plus a drink, plus a buffet. At a resort restaurant. At Walt Disney World. In 2026.It was especially useful for families. Picky eaters could graze the buffet while someone else ordered the Steak and Egg. Kids who wanted three small things instead of one big thing had somewhere to go. It solved a real problem that a lot of Disney World breakfast options do not.Credit: DisneyWhat Replaced ItThe Continental Enhancement is no longer on the menu. In its place are two add-on sides, each priced at $10.The Danish Basket comes with Cinnamon Rolls, Fruit Danish, and Assorted Mini Muffins. The Continental Parfait and Fruit includes Açai, Blueberry, Strawberry, Sliced Banana, Granola, Coconut, and Honey. Both are solid additions on their own, and if you were only ever going to pick at a couple of items from the buffet anyway, one of these might cover it. Pair a $16 or $17 entree with a $10 side, and you are landing near or below the old $28 mark. The catch is variety. The old setup gave you a spread. The new one gives you a plate. For a solo diner, that trade might be fine. For a family with four different appetites at the table, it is a real loss.Is Ale & Compass Still Worth It for BreakfastYes, and that is worth saying plainly. The entrees have not changed, and they are still among the better sit-down breakfast options in the EPCOT Resort Area. If the Danish Basket or the parfait appeals to you, the meal still works. The atmosphere is still calm, the location is still convenient for anyone walking to EPCOT or Disney’s Hollywood Studios, and the seafood-leaning menu still sets it apart from every other breakfast on property. What is gone is the standout value. It moved from being a deal that people specifically planned their morning around to being a good breakfast at normal Disney prices.Other Breakfast Options Worth BookingIf the change has you rethinking your plans, there are still good mornings to be had.Kona Cafe at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort remains a favorite for a quick but genuinely satisfying sit-down breakfast, and the resort itself is easy to reach from Magic Kingdom. If you are already inside a park, the Fresh Fruit Waffle at Sleepy Hollow Refreshments in Magic Kingdom is a longtime standby, and the Breakfast Ronto Wrap from Ronto Roasters at Disney’s Hollywood Studios is one of the better quick-service breakfast items anywhere on property.Credit: DisneyNone of those replace what Ale & Compass was doing, but they will keep you fed without derailing the day.Plan AccordinglyMenu changes at Walt Disney World happen constantly, and most of them barely register. This one stings because the Continental Enhancement was one of the few remaining offerings where guests felt like they were coming out ahead. If you have an Ale & Compass breakfast reservation coming up, go in expecting the new menu. The food is still good. The deal is not there anymore. The post Disney World Pulled the Best Breakfast Deal on Property appeared first on Inside the Magic.
