Under the multiple stakes-winning third dam Secret Garden (Danehill) is G1 Irish 2000 Guineas hero-turned-sire Roderic O'Connor.Ballylinch Stud's Lope De Vega sports a strong record in the U.S., with 57 winners from 104 runners (55%). Of his 13 stakes winners, five have struck at the top table, with Lane's End sire Carl Spackler his most decorated runner.Koekkoek Sails Home At Del MarPinatubo gelding Koekkoek got off the mark in his fifth start and first at Del Mar on July 18 (video). Trained by Phil D'Amato, the three-year-old races for the Benowitz Family Trust, McLean Racing Stables, Strand Beach, Michael Nentwig & Jeremy Peskoff.Part of the Morera Partnership breeding programme, the bay raced in those silks to a fourth-place finish over the Dundalk all-weather for conditioner Henry de Bromhead. Out of German listed winner Sarinda (Dubawi), Koekkoek is a half-brother to multiple stakes-placed Zain Sarinda (Churchill) and a weanling colt by Look De Vega. Rock Of Gibraltar features in the extended family.Darley's Pinatubo is responsible for eight winners from nine runners (89%) in the U.S. Overall, he has sired a dozen stakes winners internationally.Almanzor Gelding Strikes In DelawareDahman's I Am I Said won for the third time in six starts at Delaware Park on July 24 (video). The four-year-old gelding by Almanzor was bred by James Wigan and trained by Miguel Clement.The fifth foal out of the winning Galileo mare Tesoro, the dark bay brought 72,000gns as a Tattersalls December weanling before hammering for 110,000gns out of the Tattersalls October Yearling Sale Book 2 in 2023. Originally racing for Valmont and Ellipsis II in the U.K. for Ralph Beckett, I Am I Said is a half-brother to GII Royal North Stakes second Sweet Enough (Lope De Vega) and the multiple stakes-placed Enfijaar (Lope De Vega).
