SOL: Optimizing a 77.25 Channel ShortSOL / TetherUS PERPETUAL CONTRACTBINANCE:SOLUSDT.Pkiv1nToday I am optimizing a SOLUSDT channel short setup originally set with an entry at 77.25, take-profit at 73.6, and stop-loss at 78.9. My goal is to refine these execution levels using Fair Value Gaps, Order Blocks, and VWAP analysis. 💡 IDEA The hypothesis of a short trade is structurally valid due to the 15m bearish realignment with the 4h overarching downtrend. However, the original setup is flawed, so defensive parameter adjustments are required to ensure capital preservation and an asymmetric edge. 🛫 ENTRY The entry was moved from 77.25 to 78.25. The original entry at 77.25 was positioned directly inside an unmitigated 15m Bullish FVG between 77.10 and 77.25, offering a poor setup into support. The optimized entry at 78.25 aligns with a 15m Bearish FVG from 78.25 to 78.33, a 15m Bearish OB from 78.24 to 78.61, Daily VWAP at 78.20, and 1h resistance at 78.19. If price drops to the 1h support at 77.03 before hitting 78.25, the setup is canceled. 💰 TAKE-PROFIT The take-profit was adjusted from 73.6 to 74.06. The original target at 73.6 was overly aggressive, requiring price to break through a 4h support zone between 73.91 and 74.06 along with a 15m Bullish OB from 73.86 to 74.28. The optimized level at 74.06 aligns with the 4h previous low and top of 4h support to secure profit before major demand. 🛡️ STOP-LOSS The stop-loss was raised from 78.9 to 79.05. The initial stop at 78.9 sat just 3 cents above the 15m CHoCH origin at 78.87 and inside a 1h resistance zone from 78.82 to 79.01. This location was vulnerable to a sweep of the 4h last high at 79.01, whereas 79.05 safely sits above structural invalidation. ⚖️ RISK-TO-REWARD The Risk-to-Reward ratio was improved from 1:2.21 to 1:5.24. The original setup risked 1.65 to gain 3.65. By entering at 78.25 with a stop at 79.05 and target at 74.06, risk was reduced to 0.80 while reward increased to 4.19.
