The Hate Crime Unit is investigating a pair of incidents in which Jewish-owned businesses were targeted.Toronto police say they were called to the Yonge Street and St. Clair Avenue area just after 8 a.m. following reports the window of a Jewish-owned bakery chain had been struck by gunfire.Investigators confirmed they located evidence that a firearm had been discharged in the area.Less than half an hour later, police were called to the area of Bathurst Street and Steeles Avenue West, where the window at another location of the same Jewish-owned bakery had been broken. At this time, investigators say there is no evidence of the damage being caused by a firearm.No physical injuries were reported at either scene.Anyone with information is asked to contact the police.
