Eddie Howe has admitted that he does not know what the future holds for Bruno Guimaraes amid Arsenal’s reported pursuit of the Newcastle United captain.The Gunners are believed to have agreed personal terms with the Brazilian and are preparing a £70 million offer, although Newcastle remain reluctant to lose one of their most influential players.Howe has now addressed the growing speculation and, while making clear how highly Guimaraes is valued at St James’ Park, stopped short of guaranteeing that the midfielder will remain with the club.Howe reveals positive talks with GuimaraesSpeaking after Newcastle’s 1-1 pre-season draw with Gateshead, Howe confirmed that he has remained in regular contact with his captain.“I’ve had some really good conversations with him before the World Cup, during the World Cup and after the World Cup,” Howe said as reported by BBCSport.“What we speak about has to remain private, but he’s just a great player, a great person.“I don’t know what’s going to happen with Bruno’s future.
