Former Big Brother Africa housemate Esther Akankwasa Namuddu has revealed that her time on the reality TV show left her deeply shaken, saying the experiences she encountered behind the scenes were so disturbing that they pushed her into depression after returning to Uganda.Namuddu, who represented Uganda alongside Stella Nantumbwe, popularly known as Ellah, on Big Brother Africa: Hotshots in 2014, said she reached a point where she no longer wanted to remain in the house. Speaking about her experience, she claimed she and fellow housemate Frankie asked to leave the competition early, promising they would never publicly disclose everything they had witnessed. We asked to leave with Frankie and said we wouldn’t tell anyone what we experienced but just wanted to leave. I didn’t want to be there anymore.She explained that although many Ugandans expected her to use the show as a launchpad to celebrity status, she instead chose to withdraw from the public eye.
