currencynerd constitution GoldOANDA:XAUUSDcurrencynerdthis is really personal to me and i am sharing it because I know how easy it is to forget the lessons the market teaches us. Every trader has moments where impatience feels stronger than discipline, where emotions are louder than logic, and where one bad decision can undo weeks of good work. For a long time I thought success in trading was about finding the perfect strategy. The longer I spend in the markets, the more I realize it is about becoming the kind of person who can consistently follow a good one. My goal is simple. *To protect the capital I've worked hard to build. *To become a little more disciplined with every trading session. *To let consistency, not emotion, shape my results. And one day, through thousands of well-executed decisions rather than one lucky trade, to build life-changing wealth for myself and the people I love. This constitution is my reminder that the market doesn't reward hope, talent, or intelligence alone. It rewards preparation, patience, discipline, and respect for risk. Whenever I sit down to trade, I want these principles to be louder than my emotions. This is the standard I expect from myself. Rule 1. Capital is my inventory. Without capital, I cannot trade. Every dollar I lose today is a dollar that cannot compound tomorrow. My first responsibility is survival. Rule 2. I only trade A+ setups. Not good setups. Not interesting setups. Only trades that satisfy every rule in my trading plan. If I have doubts, I do not trade. Rule 3. No setup is also a position. Cash is a position. Waiting is a decision. Patience is profitable. Rule 4. Price is truth. News creates volatility. Opinions create bias. Price pays me. I follow price. Rule 5. Risk is fixed. The market decides outcomes. I decide risk. I never increase risk because I feel confident. Rule 6. One trade changes nothing. My edge appears over hundreds of trades. I judge my process. Never a single result. Rule 7. Never chase. If price leaves without me... Good. Another opportunity will come. There is always another trade. Rule 8. Losses are business expenses. A losing trade does not mean my analysis was wrong. It simply means probabilities did not work in my favor. Accept. Review. Move on. Rule 9. I trade my plan, not my emotions. Fear cannot press Buy. Greed cannot press Sell. Hope cannot move my stop. Discipline executes. Rule 10. I earn the right to increase size. I do not scale because I need money. I scale because consistency proves I deserve larger positions. Rule 11. Every trade must have a reason. If I cannot explain the trade in one minute... I should not take it. Rule 12. Protect the downside. One catastrophic loss destroys months of progress. My goal is never to blow up. Rule 13. I respect probabilities. Even a 70% strategy loses. Losses are expected. They are not failures. Rule 14. Boredom is not a trading signal. The market owes me nothing. If nothing is happening... I wait. Rule 15. The chart owes me nothing. The market does not know I exist. It will not reward effort. Only discipline. Rule 16. My stop loss is non-negotiable. The stop protects my future. Moving it is breaking trust with myself. Rule 17. My job is execution. I cannot control the market. I control preparation. Execution. Risk. Review. Nothing else. Rule 18. Missed trades are free. Bad trades are expensive. I'd rather miss ten winners than take one emotional loser. Rule 19. Consistency beats intensity. One great trading day changes little. Three hundred disciplined trading days change everything. Rule 20. Every session begins with gratitude. Millions wish they had the opportunity to participate in global markets. Today I get another chance. I will respect it. by : @currencynerd
