Indeed, it was only close home that he asserted to get the verdict by a neck, having shown signs of greenness when first produced to lead a furlong out.The first two in that 6f novice pulled three lengths clear of the remainder, while the timefigure underlines that this was a fairly useful effort from Satellite Of Love, who was conceding 4lb to the runner-up and promises to improve again with this experience under his belt. He must be considered another likely type for the Harry's Half Million at York for Clive Cox and Middleham Park Racing, the same combination that won it last year with Song Of The Clyde.Certainly, the Goffs UK Premier Yearling Sale has been a happy hunting ground for Cox over the years, with the Lambourn trainer being the one to sign for Satellite Of Love when he fetched £45,000. That was a useful performance under a penalty, conceding 4lb to each of his five rivals, while he also demonstrated his versatility in coping with an extra furlong and quicker ground, having made a winning debut over 6f on heavy.Still very much a work in progress, Undiscovered may find Pattern company coming as a shock to the system at this stage, but he has the potential to prove himself of that standard somewhere down the line.
