Hokkaido Airports revealed that it is working with Nintendo to hold an Animal Crossing-themed event at New Chitose Airport. The pop-up event will launch in late July 2026 and run throughout most of August 2026. It will also include sales of merchandise themed after Dodo Airlines, the fictional airliner appearing in the game series. The key highlights of the merchandise lineup will be the exclusive sales of a Dodo Airlines-themed soft glider at ¥300 (~$1.85) and a wooden model kit of a seaplane that costs ¥1,650 (~$10.10). Nintendo will also hold early sales of more DAL-themed merchandise, such as neck pillows, sleep masks, drinking mugs, and slippers. This implies that the company will sell these items again at another place and time.
