The organisers of the Uganda International Fashion Week (UIFW) have confirmed that the 2026 edition will take place from August 31 to September 5, following its postponement earlier this year due to the Ebola outbreak.With preparations back on track, the event is set to bring together Uganda’s leading designers, creatives and fashion enthusiasts for a week of runway showcases, exhibitions, business forums and networking opportunities.Founded in 2003 by fashion entrepreneur Santa Anzo, UIFW has grown into one of Africa’s leading fashion platforms, creating opportunities for designers while promoting entrepreneurship, job creation and access to regional and international markets.This year’s edition will run under the theme “Fashion for Impact,” with a continued focus on empowering women, youth, refugees and persons with disabilities through fashion and enterprise development.The week will conclude with the Grand Finale Gala at the Kampala Serena Hotel on September 5, with tickets already on sale.Registration also remains open for designers, exhibitors, manufacturers and other creatives interested in participating in this year’s showcase.The post Uganda International Fashion Week Returns with New Dates, Ticket Sales Now Open appeared first on MBU.
