However, as flagged by several fans on social media, he is likely to face disciplinary action.Others have taken a slightly more sympathetic approach.“As a former Disney custodian, I get it,” one TikTok user wrote. “The literal shit I had to clean, outside in the heat all day, lifting heavy bags, with my coworkers who had failed every other assessment, with others who had multiple SH reports, I get it. The amount of panic attacks I had on stage, the amount of times I nearly passed out, everything about that job was terrible. Hope this dudes doing well.”Another said, “I honestly feel pretty bad, custodial are the HARDEST working humans at the park and this guy must’ve just had a final breakdown and just jumped in, hope he gets better and better opportunities in the future, these are really hard times the parks is in.”Credit: Carlos (armadillo444), FlickrPast IncidentsThis is far from the first time someone has jumped into the Rivers of America. The Rivers of America has witnessed two fatal attempts to cross its waters. In 1973, an 18-year-old drowned while carrying his younger brother from Tom Sawyer Island – located on the opposite side of the water from New Orleans Square – after the pair hid beyond closing. The 10-year-old survived by staying afloat until a ride operator reached him.Ten years later, another 18-year-old drowned during Disneyland’s Grad Nite. He and a friend entered a restricted area, took an emergency rubber boat, and attempted to cross the river. Both had reportedly been drinking; subsequent lawsuits against Disney and the trip organizer were unsuccessful.Credit: Inside the MagicTragedy also struck on the river itself in 1998. As the Sailing Ship Columbia docked on Christmas Eve, a metal cleat tore free and hit two guests and a cast member. One guest later died, while investigators criticized the training provided to the employee handling the ship.Magic Kingdom notably closed its version of Rivers of America last year as it prepares to debut a new Cars-themed land. Prior to its closure, there were multiple reports of guests jumping into the water.Have you ever witnessed an incident in the Rivers of America? The post REPORT: Disney Cast Member Randomly Strips, Dives Into Rivers of America appeared first on Inside the Magic.
