Title. Life repeatedly kicked me in the balls between Feb-April of this year and it was all incredibly stressful for me. Regarding my hair, I’ve grown increasingly paranoid about losing it to MBP because I’m only in my mid 20s and I’m the oldest on my mom’s side who’s not bald. I got on Fin 10 months ago just for good measure and thankfully I haven’t had side effects. Following the stress of this year though, I’ve started touching and finger curling more and more aggressively though, both out of nervous habit and deliberate stress. It started with the right corner of my hairline but soon enough I was doing it all over my head. I didn’t pay it much mind until mid April when I started shedding more than usual. at first I thought it was the 10 month fin shed I’ve seen ppl talk about. By late May though I was shedding like crazy, and only in the past few weeks has the pace of it slowed down. it drove me paranoid. My hair’s always been really thick and curly. now, it’s not only considerably thinner, but probably has a lot more breakage too from how much I’ve pulled at my strands. the places I pick the most are thin and wiry and are much harder to style. I’m at a loss of what to do at this point. I know it’s gonna take forever to grow back and layer normally, if it even grows back at all. If this has happened to anyone else, i would love to hear insights on how you got thru it, and if things stabilized in time. or just general advice. thanks submitted by /u/Beginning-Fortune325 [link] [comments]
