This is a post to help everyone out there suffering with hair loss and shedding. I started shedding a lot of hair after the covid vaccine and covid itself. Handfuls every single day. I saw a few dermatologists, they told me female pattern hair loss even though through blood tests I had low testosterone and low androgens. I was told it doesnt matter it is still female pattern hair loss. I tried spironolactone and it made things worse. I was prescribed oral minoxidil. It worked amazing for 3 years. Then for no reason I started shedding again with no end in sight. I also had itching and scalp sensitivity/sensations. I was offered dht blockers/antiandrogens but they did not work for me. I heard about a peptide called ghk-cu which is something we already have in our bodies but it declines with age. It keeps inflammation down, aids collagen production, tissue repair and regeneration, hair follicle stem cells, keeps skin youthful. I live in Australia and injectable peptides are legal if prescribed through a doctor. I spoke to a doctor at BIOV8 after telling him my symptoms he suggested using an injectable peptide called ghk-cu copper peptide. It is compounded at a pharmacy for me, I inject in the thigh, 12 weeks on 8 to 12 weeks off. I still use the oral minoxidil. It has been amazing, I am on week 5, shedding completely stopped, skin looks smooth and glowy, more energy and scalp feels calm, hair is already looking better. I will continue with ghk-cu indefinitely now, cycling on and off and continue with the oral minoxidil. In my case I had internal inflammation and treating that has completely fixed my problem.
