XAUUSD – Weekly Outlook: Gold Is Still Inside The Channel, But GoldOANDA:XAUUSDHannah_MarlandXAUUSD – Weekly Outlook: Gold Is Still Inside The Channel, But Buyers Are Trying To Rebuild Gold is ending the week at an interesting area. After several days of pressure, price is still moving inside the broad descending channel. However, the market has not continued straight down. Instead, gold is trying to stabilize above the Buy Order Fibonacci zone around 4,006. Current price is trading around 4,052. This shows that buyers are attempting to defend the lower structure, but the recovery still needs confirmation before becoming a stronger bullish move. WEEKLY TREND SUMMARY This week, gold started with pressure after failing to hold the higher recovery zone. Earlier in the week, sellers pushed price back from the upper resistance areas, and gold returned toward the lower support region. The key focus was around 4,000 – 4,007, where buyers needed to defend the structure. During the second half of the week, gold showed several recovery attempts from the lower zone. However, every upside move still faced resistance near 4,081 and 4,134. The weekly picture is clear: gold remains inside a larger bearish channel, but the short-term structure is trying to rebuild from the 4,006 support area. FUNDAMENTAL ANALYSIS Gold remains sensitive to U.S. dollar movement, Treasury yields, inflation expectations, and geopolitical risk. Higher oil prices and renewed inflation concerns can keep pressure on gold because they may support a tighter Fed outlook. At the same time, geopolitical uncertainty can still create safe-haven demand and support short-term rebounds. For now, the fundamental background is mixed. This is why the chart structure and reaction around key zones are more important than prediction. TECHNICAL ANALYSIS – SMC + FIBONACCI From an SMC perspective, gold is still trading inside a wide descending channel. The broader structure has not fully shifted bullish yet, because price remains below the upper channel resistance. However, the Buy Order Fibonacci 0.236 zone around 4,006 is now the key support. If buyers continue defending this level, gold may build a stronger recovery next week. The first important liquidity area is around 4,081. A break above this level would show that buyers are gaining better short-term control. Above that, the Sell Order zone around 4,134 is the next major test. This area may attract sellers again, but if gold breaks and holds above it, the next upside target becomes 4,208. The main idea is simple: gold is still inside the channel, but buyers are trying to create a recovery base. The reaction around 4,006 and 4,081 will decide the next move. KEY PRICE ZONES Current price: 4,052 Buy Order Fibonacci zone: 4,006 Short-term support: 4,006 – 4,020 Liquidity level: 4,081 Sell Order zone: 4,134 Weekly recovery target: 4,208 Bearish channel support: Below 4,006 Bullish confirmation: Above 4,081 Invalidation for recovery view: Below 4,006 TRADING SCENARIOS Buy Scenario – Weekly Recovery View Buy Zone: 4,006 – 4,020 Entry: Bullish rejection, liquidity sweep, lower-timeframe CHoCH, or strong reaction from the Fibonacci support SL: Below 4,006 TP1: 4,081 TP2: 4,134 TP3: 4,208 Breakout Buy Condition: Break and hold above 4,081 Target: 4,134 first, then 4,208 if momentum continues Sell Scenario – Reaction From Resistance Sell Zone: 4,134 Entry: Bearish rejection, failed breakout, or lower-timeframe bearish CHoCH SL: Above the rejection swing high TP1: 4,081 TP2: 4,052 TP3: 4,006 Breakdown Sell Condition: Clean break below 4,006 Target: Lower channel support if bearish momentum expands MY VIEW Gold is still inside the bearish channel, but the short-term reaction is improving. The most important support for next week is 4,006. If buyers defend this zone, gold may continue recovering toward 4,081 and 4,134. A stronger breakout above 4,134 would open the way toward 4,208. But I still want confirmation. The broader channel has not been broken yet, so I do not want to chase the move too early. For me, next week depends on one simple question: can gold hold 4,006 and break above 4,081? If yes, the recovery can continue. If not, sellers may take control again. Do you think gold will hold the 4,006 Fibonacci zone and recover toward 4,208 next week?
