Notably absent from the festivities will be Puerto Rican-born utility player Kiké Hernández, who is currently on an injury rehab assignment, playing for the Dodgers’ Triple-A affiliate, the Oklahoma City Comets.Still, according to Fox, Hernandez said, “If I was active, I probably wouldn’t have gone anyways.”This is after he visited the White House last year and described the honor as uneventful, noting that the President, whom he referred to as “The guy,” just “gave his speech.” Hernandez “wasn’t really interested in talking to him anyway,” he said.“We went to the White House that morning,” Hernández said, according to the New York Post. “They had us sit in a room for about three hours. Then they told us to stand up and get in line. We waited for a couple more hours. And then they took us to the stage.
