The midfielder made 34 Serie A appearances for Milan last season, 32 of which were starts, registering two goals and three assists while creating 51 chances – one shy of the team's top creator Alexis Saelemaekers.He was unable to lead the Rossoneri to Champions League qualification, though, as a late-season slump saw them finish fifth and miss out on a place at Europe's top table.Massimiliano Allegri was subsequently sacked and replaced by former Manchester United boss Ruben Amorim, who will be able to call upon Modric for 2026-27."I'm thrilled to continue to be part of AC Milan, where you've made me feel welcomed and loved since the very first day," Modric said in a post to the club's Instagram account."After a season below our expectations, the desire to bounce back is immense.
