India's gem and jewellery exporters welcomed the US decision to retain the additional tariff on Indian shipments at 10%, giving them a tariff advantage over several rivals. However, the industry warned that total duties of up to 16% will continue to hurt exports and has urged faster India-US trade deal negotiations.
