As part of the Final Fantasy XIV 2026 Berlin Fan Festival, Square Enix shared more about the previously announced FFXIV Evangelion crossover Raid and confirmed that the Evercold expansion will get a FFVII one. The former will appear in April 2026, and it is called Ghosts of Desire. The latter will be named Beyond the Lifestream. The Ghosts of Desire Raid features work from Mahiro Maeda, who previously worked on Final Fantasy: Unlimited, Evangelion 3.0 You Can (Not) Redo, and Evangelion 3.0+1.0 Thrice Upon a Time. He’ll be a designer and guest artist for the challenge. A new teaser video appeared tied to that, but it didn’t show any possible Evas, Angels, or plugsuits for FFXIV. As a reminder, it will be a 24-person Raid. As for the FFXIV Evercold FFVII Beyond the Lifestream Raid series, it will be one for eight people. The Remake trilogy Director Naoki Hamaguchi appeared alongside the MMORPG Director and Producer Naoki Yoshida for the announcement and confirmed his team is assisting on it. The official art for it appeared and showed both Cloud and Sephiroth in the teaser. Final Fantasy XIV is available for the PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X, and PC, and comes to the Switch 2 on August 4, 2026. The Evangelion FFXIV Ghosts of Desire Raid will appear in August 2026. The Neon Genesis Evangelion anime is on Netflix, and the rebuild movies are on Amazon. The FFXIV Evercold expansion arrives in January 2027 and includes the FFVII Beyond the Lifestream Raid.
