As power cuts continue to affect homes across Malta during the ongoing heatwave, Siġġiewi restaurant Marilù’s is offering residents a cool place to escape the soaring temperatures, with no strings attached.In a social media post, the restaurant invited anyone left without electricity to make use of its air-conditioned premises, even if they don’t plan on buying anything.“Power cut? No electricity? Come cool down with us at Marilù’s,” the restaurant wrote.“If your home is too hot or you simply need somewhere cool to relax, our doors are open.”Marilù’s said people are welcome to work, relax or simply recharge, adding that there’s absolutely no obligation to order food or drinks.“You’re welcome to sit and work in our air-conditioned restaurant, or just chill, with absolutely no obligation to order anything.
