Now price is stretched far above it, and that's the whole risk One line on this chart explains the entire move: the rising magenta line near 305. That's the anchored VWAP from last August's low, the average price of every trade since this uptrend began. Think of it as the buyers' collective cost basis. What makes it matter is what price did around it: nothing. It never came back down to touch it. From 200 up to the 400 top, price stayed above its own rising average the whole way. That is what a real trend looks like on a volume map. The floor keeps climbing and price never lets it catch up. The red shelf in the high 310s is the second story. Around 316 to 320 is the single most-traded price of this whole range, the heaviest bar on the profile at the left. Look through December to April: price kept returning to that shelf and leaving from it. It's the range's center of gravity. When price is above it, that shelf is the floor buyers defend. Lose it and it flips to a ceiling. Now the honest part. Price at 342 is sitting about 13% above that August anchor. That's a lot. The real buying, the green buy-dominant rows in the profile, showed up down at 270 to 320, not up here. Chasing this far from the floor is where new longs get hurt. What the map says about the path: 1. Overhead, the prior-day high near 360 is the first cap, then the 400 top. Above 400 the profile is thin. Almost nothing traded up there, so a confirmed break moves fast. 2. On a pullback, the 320 to 335 band is where price is fair. That acceptance zone, not 342, is where I'd want to add. 3. The line that has to hold is the 316 to 320 shelf. Lose it and the rising 305 anchor is the last floor before the trend itself is in question. Bottom line: the trend is intact and the buyers never surrendered their average, so I'm not fading this. But 342 is chasing. I want the 320s on a reset, or a clean hold above 360, before I trust the next leg. Let the level do the talking.
