We look at every Tottenham academy youngster to have featured in the club’s 1-0 win over MK Dons in their first pre-season game ahead of the 2026-27 season.Tottenham Hotspur had their first kick of the ball today since their Premier League game against Everton last season, where they secured a 1-0 victory.It was a similar scoreline for the north Londoners, who beat League One side MK Dons in a behind-closed-doors friendly encounter at Hotspur Way.It was a beautiful strike from Mateus Fernandes that proved enough for Roberto De Zerbi’s side, who got their pre-season preparations off to a perfect start.The Tottenham XI against MK Dons, however, looked completely different, as a good mix of senior players were included, while several academy players also featured.Spurs Web has now taken a look at each one of these youngsters to see what the future might hold for them this summer. He is 18 years old and is naturally a midfielder. He is also not entirely new to the first team, having even been on the bench in the Champions League at one point last season. Today he featured at right back, replacing Archie Gray. So far, there has been no talk about links with a move elsewhere, and there is every chance he remains within the Tottenham ranks.Malachi HardyThe England Under-18 international is a young centre-back with tremendous potential and was one of the standouts from the game against MK Dons. He is currently 18 years old and features for the Tottenham Under-21 side. It is not far-fetched to think he could be loaned out this season to League One or League Two, and that might become a real possibility if he continues to put in strong displays like he did this evening.Harry ByrneThe versatile full-back is another Tottenham youngster to have got minutes under his belt today, having been part of first team training in recent weeks. The 18-year-old is normally a full-back but was deployed at centre-back in the friendly match. He features for the Under-21s, having been at the club since he was seven. It is very unlikely he is loaned out this summer as he still needs to improve certain aspects of his game.Rio KyerematenRio, aged 21, was another youngster to have featured against MK Dons and was one of the few to have played the entire match. That perhaps shows just how well he must have been performing in training of late. The centre-back is also no stranger to being around the first team, having been on the bench on several occasions for Tottenham. At 21, Kyerematen could well be loaned out this summer.Luca Williams-BarnettThe youngster is one Tottenham fans are raving about, given his stellar display at youth level last season. Injuries did limit his involvement last campaign, but today he looked impressive and was Spurs Web’s man of the match. Williams-Barnett is 17 and features for the Under-21s. He has made a senior appearance, featuring in the EFL Cup off the bench last season. Expectations for the youngster are high and no doubt many Tottenham fans would love to see him get a few cameos and even starts at senior level. But there is a possibility he is loaned this summer, having witnessed the development of Mikey Moore, who is also highly rated at the club and was loaned out last season.Mikey MooreFresh off his loan spell at Rangers, Moore has certainly grown from a boy to a man both on the pitch and physically. Currently 18, Moore is attracting real interest, with Borussia Dortmund said to be keen on the teenager. Tottenham have been offloading their youngsters this summer when their valuation has been met, but many Spurs fans would be far from pleased if Moore departs permanently.
