The U.S. Under-20 Men’s National Team kicked off their CONCACAF U-20 Championship schedule with three points and a clean sheet. Gonzalo Segares’ squad downed Haiti 3-0 on Saturday in Puebla, Mexico, using goals from three different players to earn an opening round victory. The Americans moved top of Group A with two group stage matches left to play. The USMNT U-20’s struck first after 38 minutes using a confident strike from Dino Klapija to take a 1-0 lead. Colin Guske’s chipped pass into the 18-yard box allowed Klapija to settle himself before drilling a right-footed shot into the top-right corner. Substitute attacker Jaidyn Contreras was hauled down by Marckidens Tanis in the box, allowing Santiago Morales the opportunity to add his name to the scoresheet. Morales snuck a right-footed shot into the bottom-right corner for a comfortable 3-0 Americans victory.
