Ochoa became the oldest player to appear for Mexico in a World Cup match aged 40 years and 346 days old, surpassing Rafa Marquez against Brazil in 2018 (39y 139d).Mexico's World Cup journey ended in the last 16 after losing 3-2 to England at the Estadio Azteca, and Ochoa has since decided to end his 23-year playing career.
