Universal Orlando Resort’s latest announcement will balloon the crowd levels at the parks for 6 weeks straight as another update has been provided on Epic Universe getting annual passes.Credit: UniversalEpic Universe Annual Passes: Passholders Get 6 Weeks of Fun and AppreciationUniversal Orlando Resort is giving its Annual and Seasonal Passholders six weeks of additional discounts, exclusive products, and limited-time experiences this fall. Yet the resort’s most consequential Passholder limitation remains unchanged: a UOAP still does not include admission to Epic Universe. The resort’s 2026 Passholder Appreciation Days will run from August 15 through September 30. The offers provide legitimate savings for guests planning repeat visits, particularly those purchasing Express Passes, staying overnight, or spending heavily on food and merchandise. They also arrive at an awkward point in the evolution of Universal’s Annual Pass program. More than a year after Epic Universe opened, Passholders can receive discounts inside the new park—but must still purchase another ticket to enter it.Credit: UniversalUniversal’s Most Exclusive Passholder Event Is Already FullPassholder Appreciation Days begin with two after-hours Passholder Nights at Universal Studios Florida on August 15 and 16.Universal previously announced that the events would include access to select attractions and entertainment, special character appearances, a DJ dance party, and a magnet giveaway. However, anyone who missed the reservation window is currently out of luck.Universal’s event page now labels the nights “All Spots Reserved” and says the events have reached capacity. Guests who cancel an existing reservation will not be able to make another one.The quick disappearance of reservations demonstrates the obvious appeal of these events. Inside the Magic previously reported on the return of Passholder Nights when Universal scheduled the two evenings and opened reservations in July.Passholders without reservations still have access to the broader Appreciation Days program. Unlike the two after-hours events, those benefits extend for more than six weeks.Credit: Lee, FlickrThe Discounts Can Deliver Real Savings—with ConditionsAmong the strongest offers is 30% off select Universal Express Passes for Universal Studios Florida and Islands of Adventure. The discounted products must be purchased at front-gate windows and remain subject to availability.Universal is also offering up to 40% off eligible Sunday-through-Thursday stays at Loews Sapphire Falls Resort, Universal Stella Nova Resort, Universal Terra Luna Resort, and Universal Endless Summer Resort – Dockside Inn and Suites. Availability and the actual savings will vary by hotel.Passholders can save an additional 10% when using Mobile Food & Drink Ordering. Seasonal and Power Passholders will also receive 10% off dining and merchandise at select locations, bringing temporary discounts to two pass tiers that generally receive fewer year-round benefits than Preferred and Premier Passholders. The merchandise credit requires closer attention to the fine print. Passholders who spend $100 at participating merchandise locations receive a $15 credit, but it is not an immediate $15 discount. The single-use credit applies to a future merchandise purchase of at least $50 and has no cash value.Other confirmed offers include:50% off qualifying Wizarding World merchandise-personalization services30% off private and non-private Universal’s Great Movie Escape tickets purchased at the venue35% off an in-park My Universal Photos Annual Pass PackageA buy-one, get-one offer on qualifying character photosA $19.99 Passholder-exclusive Coca-Cola Freestyle souvenir cup10% off same-day Volcano Bay cabana and Premium Seating rentalsExtended, park-length operating hours at the UOAP Lounge in Toon LagoonA complimentary giveaway will become available at the UOAP Lounge and The Tonight Shop beginning August 15 while supplies last, although Universal has not yet identified the item. The resort has also teased additional Passholder merchandise. The program continues a documented pattern of limited benefit windows. Universal offered another collection of temporary Passholder bonuses in May, including exclusive food, merchandise savings, and photo benefits.Credit: UniversalEpic Universe Remains the Missing PieceThe Appreciation Days offers make a UOAP more useful, but they do not make it a pass to the complete Universal Orlando Resort.Universal’s current passes cover Universal Studios Florida and Islands of Adventure, with three-park versions adding Volcano Bay. Epic Universe requires separate admission.Passholders can currently save up to 40% on select dated Epic Universe add-on tickets, combining their standard 15% discount with additional summer savings. Prices, availability, and the maximum discount vary by date. That promotion has produced some comparatively inexpensive opportunities to visit. Inside the Magic previously documented Epic Universe tickets falling below $100 and later examined Universal’s expanded Passholder savings.A discounted ticket, however, is still another ticket. That distinction matters most to the people Annual Passes are designed to serve: repeat visitors. Express Pass savings and merchandise credits can reduce the cost of a day, but neither provides the defining advantage of an Annual Pass—the freedom to return without buying admission each time.Universal has not said that Epic Universe will remain excluded indefinitely. Its official FAQ says more details about Annual Passes that include Epic Universe will be announced later. It does not provide a date, price, eligibility requirements, or possible reservation rules. For now, Passholder Appreciation Days offer genuine value across most of Universal Orlando. They also make the hole in the current program harder to ignore. Passholders are being rewarded throughout the resort, but admission to its newest gate remains an additional purchase. The post Universal Crowds to Balloon for 6 Weeks as Announcement Gives Update on Epic Universe Annual Passes appeared first on Inside the Magic.
