I wanted to stop typing so much, so I built an app where I just talk to my PC and it does stuff

Wait 5 sec.

it started as a simple dictation thing. hold two keys, talk, and the text shows up wherever my cursor is, in any app. then it got a bit out of hand. now I can ask it something and it answers out loud, and if I say "play believer on youtube" or "email me the project report" it actually goes and does it on my PC. the part I use the most is the phone app. I'm on the couch, I say "open youtube" into my phone and it happens on the desktop. I can also watch a window on my PC live from my phone. it's free and open source, windows + android for now. speech runs on your own machine unless you plug in a cloud key. github: https://github.com/ishangautam7/Talvio site: https://talvio.sentramind.dev the video is a real screen recording, I only sped up the boring loading bits. would love to hear what breaks for you. submitted by /u/BigParty7725 [link] [comments]
