India and the United States have nearly finalized discussions regarding a proposed bilateral trade agreement. Commerce Minister Piyush Goyal mentioned that fine-tuning of the agreement is currently underway. This follows remarks from US Secretary of State Marco Rubio about a few remaining details. Initially, the US removed a penalty on Indian goods related to Russian oil purchases.
