I’ve been using Claude’s desktop app a lot, and the double-tap Option shortcut is one of those small things that quietly becomes hard to live without. You’re in the middle of something, you double-tap the left Option key, a quick prompt appears, you type, and you’re in a conversation. It feels closer to Spotlight than opening an app. The problem was I don’t only use Claude. I jump between ChatGPT, Grok, and Gemini depending on the task, and none of them had anything close to that on Mac. Grok doesn’t even have a native Mac app. So I kept ending up with a bunch of browser tabs or half-working workarounds. After a while I got tired of it and decided to just build the thing I wanted. Axoris is a small native Mac app that does the same double-tap left Option flow, but for multiple AIs. You summon it, pick which one you want with Option + 1/2/3/4, type your prompt, and it opens the real website inside the app. You can switch between them the same way anytime. No API keys, just the sites you’re already logged into. It’s deliberately lightweight and stays out of the way until you call it. The whole point was to keep the muscle memory I liked from Claude and extend it to the others without forcing everything through some new chat interface. There’s a 14-day full trial so you can actually live with the shortcut for a bit. After that it’s $60 once — no subscription. The idea is you only pay if it ends up being something you keep using. Still early, so I’m mostly looking for feedback from people who switch between a few different AIs on Mac, especially whether the shortcut flow feels right. https://www.axoris.app/ Happy to answer questions. submitted by /u/Fun-Operation-9234 [link] [comments]
