AI coding agents like Claude Code and Qwen Code run in the terminal, and in VS Code's terminal and many others, right-to-left languages come out broken: letters not joined, brackets flipped, text stuck to the left, and in many programs every word reads backwards. rtlfix sits between the terminal and the agent and redraws the text the way it should look. One command: rtlfix claude instead of claude. Free and MIT licensed, no dependencies, Linux and WSL, Node.js 18+. Version 1.1.0 just came out with full Unicode bidi support and many terminal edge cases fixed. https://github.com/VahidJbrl/rtlfix submitted by /u/Exciting-Bird-2168 [link] [comments]
