AIPAC is Now Forced to Reinvent Itself

Writes Ginny Garner:The awareness of the American Israel Public Affairs Committee’s (AIPAC) tremendous influence on US elections is so widespread now the Israeli’s lobby group announced it will no longer endorse specific candidates or give them campaign money. This is more of a PR change since AIPAC will continue control over US elections under its United Democracy Project PAC or another offshoot. This development is still a victory of sorts for those who tried to sound the alarm of AIPAC’s influence for decades. The Kennedy Administration attempted to get AIPAC’s predecessor the American Zionist Council (AZC) registered under the Foreign Agents Registration Act (FARA) in November 1962. Two months later AIPAC was incorporated as a separate organization. Former congressman 1985 Paul Findley’s book “They Dare to Speak Out: People and Institutions Confront Israel’s Lobby” woke up a lot of people about the influence of AIPAC on Congress.See this. The post AIPAC is Now Forced to Reinvent Itself appeared first on LewRockwell.
