I built interview prep that runs on your own machine, with a side for the people doing the hiring

Wait 5 sec.

I'm a solo dev and I built CuePreem because the interview tools I tried were $90 to $150 a month or wanted my voice and resume on their servers, with lot of telemetry and the one that run on local had issues of frequent crashing , not getting the intended results. It's a Mac and Windows app. Speech is transcribed on your device, your interview history is encrypted on disk (AES-256-GCM, key in the OS keychain), and you pick the model: your own OpenAI/Anthropic/Groq key, a local model through Ollama, or cloud credits (covering my operating costs) For candidates it scores your resume against a job post, runs mock interviews that grade your answer against a rubric and say why, and has a live cue overlay that's visible in screen share by default. For interviewers, you drop in a resume and the JD and get a prep pack: fit notes that cite the line they came from, and questions aimed at the gaps. It also takes timestamped notes while you listen and drafts a feedback report you can send the candidate. It never says hire or don't hire. The free tier needs no card, and the resume score works on the site with no sign-up. Disclosure: I built this, so I'm biased. What would make you trust a tool like this with your resume? So far I there are really 0 signups or even the feedback. Good folks of Reddit I invite you to take a closer look at my project and give a feedback. Being a dev I invested lot of my time on this side project thinking it is something that will cover lot of gaps in the recruitment lifecycle for both candidates and recruiters. submitted by /u/Long-Maintenance-007 [link] [comments]
