When I had cancer, I didn't expect anyone else to pay for my treatments (that is to say, I didn't expect crowdfunding to pay for it). I couldn't afford it all myself, so I turned to funds meant for this sort of thing & applied for financial aid through the hospital, which paid $6600 of it; A GREAT help! There are other financial aid charities which take care of the financial needs for pet owners. She should be applying for those, but then I guess she can't misuse funds that way!
