President Donald Trump has provided Natalie Harp with a private workspace inside his personal dining room, which sits right off the Oval Office, The Daily Beast reports. This move signals a major shift in how Harp, who serves as a special assistant, operates within the White House. She previously worked at a desk located outside the Oval Office, but she has now abandoned that spot to be closer to the president. Harp has become a fixture in the daily routine of the 80-year-old president. She is known as the “human printer” because she provides him with a constant stream of news stories and documents. These materials often fill up the space in the dining room where the president spends his time watching television and making phone calls. The arrangement seems to be part of a trend where the president is increasingly cloistered with “a small group of acolytes,” as the New York Times reports. The 35-year-old aide also plays a role in the president’s digital presence, as she helps him post on Truth Social. She has written personal letters to the president. In one letter from 2023, she wrote, “You are all that matters to me,” and added, “I don’t want to ever let you down.” Harp expressed in her correspondence that she feels unworthy of him Before joining the administration, Harp worked at the far-right One America News Network. She currently earns an annual salary of $150,000 for her work. Her influence appears to be growing as the midterm elections approach. During a rally in Nebraska earlier this month, the president referred to her as perfect and brought her onstage to handle an executive order he was signing. She was also seen delivering presidential pardons to him during a rally in Wasilla, Alaska. Her status within the travel party has also seen an upgrade. She now rides in the back of the presidential limousine instead of traveling in the motorcade. There are reports about the nature of her interactions with the president during these public events. Journalist Aaron Rupar wrote on X, “Trump takes a gander at Natalie Harp’s legs while she walks off.” Katie Rogers also shared on X that Harp had abandoned her previous desk to move into the dining room. It remains unclear if this change in her workspace is a temporary adjustment or a permanent relocation. The financial relationship between the president and his staff has also garnered attention. Last year, the president gifted Harp and two other young female aides $45,000. This gift was ostensibly for the holidays.
