/u/EmployPutrid5016 on Today, I ordered takeout and picked it up at the register. The tap and pay came up. The tip portion option was either 18%, 20%, 25% or other. I choose other. I did 10%. The lady looked pissed and asked “why did you change it to 10%?

I wouldn't be surprised. It definitely sounds wrong. I guess they just disbursed the tips amongst all the staff or something but that's super messed up considering some people work significantly harder than others. Like why would someone get the same amount of tips if they had a slow day compared to the person managing a constant stream of people?
