The Centre has budgeted a fiscal deficit of Rs 16.96 lakh crore for FY27. India's fiscal deficit reached Rs 7.14 lakh crore, or 42.1% of the FY27 budget estimate, during April-September, compared with 36.5% in the year-earlier period.
