I built a marketplace where you can only buy and sell with verified coworkers or classmates

Facebook Marketplace and Craigslist work, but you never really know who’s on the other end. Lowballers, no-shows, and the occasional sketchy meetup. So I built Cell-Buy: https://www.cell-buy.com/ How it works: Sign in with your work or school email. Only verified people from your organization can see your listings. Browse and chat under a nickname. You reveal who you are only when both sides agree to meet. Your email is stored as a one-way hash, and I don’t sell data. Categories: for sale, wanted, services, housing, rides. The whole UI is designed as a physical corkboard, with paper notes, push-pins and hand-drawn illustrations. It was a fun design challenge, and I’m curious whether it feels charming or gimmicky. I’d love honest feedback: Would you actually post a listing here instead of FB Marketplace? What would make you trust it more? Anything confusing on first visit? Thanks for taking a look! submitted by /u/Puzzleheaded_Ebb_816 [link] [comments]
