So I only ever played the original on my dad's ps1 back in the early 00s when I was a kid and then in the 2010s when the 2012 reboot was free with xbox live gold. Didn't finish the first level of the first but completed 2012 and kinda liked it. I have got to say I started playing the first one (I-III Remastered) and I absolutely love it. It's literally just like a ps1 game (textures optimized for CRT, Tank Controls, I wanted a retro vibe) and with the level design I'm actually surprised the developers were able to do levels this size in the mid 90s. And when I no longer want the novelties of nostalgia I can switch to modern controls and graphics. It's really fun and addictive, and I can't wait to complete them all in release order.
