The Bank of Japan will accelerate the sale of its exchange-traded fund holdings, targeting annual disposals of 860 billion yen ($5.45 billion) at book value, equivalent to around 0.1% of market trading value. The move aims to unwind its massive stock portfolio, with the estimated time to complete the sell-off falling to 43 years from the earlier estimate of 112 years.
