Oh that's an interesting take... I usually provided the original price I paid when I sold e.g. my laptops... because as I buyer I know I would look it up if I didn't already know it, so my thought process was that it'd make it easier for the buyer to assess my pricing Also in OPs case, it is very common practice to negotiate on the price with these online second-hand sales; I'd always put it up for slightly higher than I'd want to sell for, so people coming up with 100 for a 150 item is more than reasonable in my opinion I will usually make an offer slightly lower than I'm willing to pay for, so that the seller can make a counter offer and we can meet in the middle... In OPs case I would have just expected that they'd settle on 125 (OP posting it slightly higher than they want to sell for and buyer asking for slightly lower than they would pay for) To me it usually looks like a Red Flag if either party is not willing to negotiate at all (I'd also be concerned if the seller just accepted my initial offer without making a counter offer); but there are definitely the actual low ballers as well who just lowball 50 listings, hoping that 1 dude'll just say yes
