I built a tool to solve the Twitch stream song-request chaos for DJs (Looking for feedback)

Wait 5 sec.

Hey r/SideProject, I’ve been watching a lot of Twitch DJ streams lately, and I noticed a huge pain point: managing song requests during a live set is absolute chaos. DJs are trying to read fast-moving chat, whispers, or handle messy bots, and viewers constantly request tracks the DJ doesn't even own on their machine. As a developer, I decided to build a side project to fix my own workflow called Trackon DJ (https://trackondj.com). Here is how it works: Desktop Companion App: A lightweight desktop app that scans the DJ's local music folders (reading ID3 metadata) and syncs their available catalog in seconds—no manual track typing required. Twitch Integration: Viewers can spend Twitch Channel Points, Bits, and Subscriptions to request tracks directly from the DJ's actual library. Live Queue Management: The DJ gets a clean real-time queue interface to accept, reject, or manage requests without breaking their mix flow. I’m currently in the early stages and looking for some honest technical and UX feedback from fellow makers and developers. If you stream music or have dealt with similar real-time state sync apps, how does this architecture sound to you? Would love to hear your thoughts, roast the landing page, or answer any questions! submitted by /u/Street_Locksmith4996 [link] [comments]
