Professor Clippy - a desktop sticky note where your AI agents leave you notes, reminders and questions

Wait 5 sec.

I've been running AI coding agents (Claude Code) and wanted a better way to know when one is done, stuck, or asking me something than staring at terminal windows. So I built a desktop sticky note with a little robot professor on it. Agents leave him notes, reminders and questions. He pops up and wiggles, but only for things that need you; the rest waits under an unread badge. Away from the PC? Notes go to WhatsApp or Telegram and you can answer from your phone. Hit Ctrl+Alt+Space anywhere and tell him things: "remind me at 3 to call Dave", "what happened while I was at lunch?" A Pad for pages you keep (pin one to the desktop as its own sticky), and colour themes including dark ones that follow Windows. Next up: read-only Gmail, so he can pop up those "here's your verification code" emails without you opening your inbox. Free and open source, Windows only for now (Electron + TypeScript, built mostly with Claude Code). No installer download yet, you build it with npm ci && npm run package. https://github.com/geetbatth/professor-clippy Would love feedback, especially on what should or shouldn't interrupt you. submitted by /u/geetbatth [link] [comments]
