I built ShinyCollecting, a Pokémon card tracker that connects Pokémon, illustrator, and set collections

I’m working on ShinyCollecting, a web app for Pokémon card collectors: https://www.shinycollecting.com The organizing idea is that a card can belong to several collecting goals at once. A Mew card might count toward your Mew collection, its illustrator’s collection, and its expansion set. Tracking ownership keeps those views connected. You can browse by Pokémon, illustrator, or expansion, use a dedicated shiny Pokémon checklist, and track specific variants and conditions. That matters when the regular, holo, and reverse-holo versions are separate things you want to collect. I’m especially interested in whether the site makes those different ways of collecting clear to a first-time visitor. Can you quickly find a collection you’d want to start? Are the variant controls understandable? This is my own project. Browsing is free. The free Starter plan tracks one Pokémon, one illustrator, one expansion set, and the shiny checklist; optional paid Premium adds unlimited collection tracking and extra-copy quantities. The site also links to my eBay card store. Feedback on the first-use experience would be appreciated, especially from people who collect cards, books, records, or other things with several editions. submitted by /u/Dkswaggg [link] [comments]
