Devil Jin horns v2 and a 3d printed face cast - moving to animatronic wings

Wait 5 sec.

Pics are from last year's Lucca build. The horns v2 were longer than v1 with a proper locking mount, and I 3d printed a cast of my own face - not as a prop, but so the wig could be fitted and cut against the real proportions of my head instead of freehanded guesswork. The wing straps are the weak point of the whole thing: they hold, but there is no mechanism, the wings are static. This year I want to change that: animatronic wings that actually move. Servo driven, probably 2 axis per wing, trying to keep the weight off the shoulders. Anyone here built moving wings? I'd take advice on the hinge and on where to put the battery so it doesn't pull the harness down. submitted by /u/fujikonphoto [link] [comments]
