My superhero-themed habit tracker is launching next week, and I'm absolutely terrified.

Wait 5 sec.

Hey everyone, Last year, I had an idea to build a habit tracker where you play as a superhero. The goal was simple: use gamified positive feedback to actually make building habits fun. But there's a more personal reason too—I'm a dad to a 9-month-old, and I'm just trying to earn a little extra "milk money" to support my family. I thought it would take a few months. But being a bit of a perfectionist (and juggling a full-time job and childcare), it took me an entire year. It’s been a brutal grind, but I'm finally launching it next Wednesday. Over the past year, I've constantly asked myself: Will anyone actually like this? What if I did all this work and no one uses it? Now that launch day is less than a week away, the anxiety is literally ruining my sleep. I just want to know: Does this concept sound appealing to you? Would you actually use something like this? A quick rundown of the app: -You check in and complete your habits to level up your hero's stats (HP, Attack, Defense, Magic). -As your hero gets stronger, you can fight crimes to prove your growth. -There are also loot drops and achievement badges to keep things fresh. I've attached some screenshots of the UI. I really want some brutally honest feedback here. Did I build something genuinely cool, or am I just fooling myself in my own little bubble? (I used ChatGPT to help me build a landing page. I'll drop the link in the first comment so I don't break any subreddit rules). Thanks for reading, and thanks in advance for any feedback! submitted by /u/EugeneUki2568 [link] [comments]
