I’m a primary maths teacher and the creator of Spire Maths. A useful coin-counting prompt is to ask a child to name each coin’s value before finding the total. My Money Quest pack has three games at three levels: counting UK coins, making amounts in two ways, and choosing a wallet that pays exactly, up to £2. It is intended for ages 6–9 with adult support as needed; it does not teach change-making. Denomination labels appear beneath the illustrated coins, whose picture size does not indicate value.
